Open Events at North Hants
Here at North Hants we host a number of competitions open to visitors.
The Hampshire Hog and Hampshire Rose are open scratch events which command outstanding fields from the elite end of the mens and ladies amateur game. The Hampshire Hog was first played in 1957 and boasts a winners list which includes most of the greats of the amateur game over the past 60 years, including Justin Rose, Sandy Lyle, Michael Bonnallack and Gary Wolstenhome. Charley Hull is one of a number of top ladies to have her name on the Rose trophy.
On a more social (but equally competitive!) level North Hants is home to a long-established and very popular Mixed Open and a Junior Open. For the first time in 2016 we hosted a North Hants Mid-Amateur Championship and this will run annually in future.

The Hampshire Hog and Hampshire Rose will return as normal from 2026 on our newly renovated course.

The Hampshire Hog and Hampshire Rose sign up has gone live from Friday 16th January 2026.
Our Ladies, Mixed, Junior Opens and Justin Rose Mid-Am will go live from Monday 2nd February 2026 at 19:00.
