THE 2026 HAMPSHIRE HOG is a 36 hole scratch stroke play competition decided over two rounds of 18 holes in accordance with the Rules of Golf as approved by the R&A Rules Limited and the Local Rules of North Hants Golf Club.
Entry will be limited to 72 players. In the event of the number of entries received being in excess of 72, players will be selected on handicap merit at the time of the closing date.
The Hampshire Salver:
Competitors who have also played in Blackmoor Golf Club's Selborne Salver competition held on Saturday 18th April 2026 may compete for The Hampshire Salver. This Trophy will be awarded for the best combined score over the 72 holes of both events. In the event of a tie for The Hampshire Salver, the trophy will be awarded on a count-back over the last 36, 18, 9, 6, 3 or final hole as necessary.
Please Note – You are only entering the Hampshire Hog here, but if you wish to play in the Selborne Salver you will need to contact Blackmoor where you must enter separately.
- Maximum handicap index 1.0
- The entry fee is £85.00 to include catering. There will be no refunds once the official draw has been made.
- 36 Hole Amateur Scratch Competition.

- No competitor may take more than one prize.
- Field limited to 72 players.
- In the event of the number of entries being more than 72, players will be selected on handicap merit.
- The committee reserves the right to nominate players.
- Entrants must provide their CDH lifetime number, email & mobile number.
- Entrants with handicap records (most recent 20 scores) that contain more than 2 General Play scores on the closing date of entry will not be eligible.
- Practice rounds - Competitors will be offered one practice round included in the price of entry. These will be offered on Monday 13th, Thursday 16th and Friday 17th April 2026, and will only be made available to book once the closing date for entries has passed.
- Acceptance into the competition and starting times will be advised in due course. The Competition Committee's decision shall be final.
- Entry Fees - £85 - to include catering. Payment online (Fees will be refunded if you are balloted out). Fees will not be refunded once the draw has been made.
