Dress Regulations

A GOOD STANDARD OF DRESS IS REQUIRED AT ALL TIMES

General

The following are not to be worn in the Clubhouse, on the course or practice ground:-

Denim jeans, combat trousers, trousers/slacks with studs, tee shirts, collarless shirts, vests, any garment that carries advertising material (except for a small logo), track suits, trainers, short dark coloured socks (with shorts).

Tailored shorts are permitted providing they are worn with either predominantly white short socks or single coloured long socks.

The socks may contain a small, discreet logo or narrow coloured bands at the top of the socks. Short socks will not be off-white in colour.

Trousers are not to be tucked into socks, and shirts are to be tucked into trousers.

All golfers are to wear recognised golf shoes on the course. (Juniors with a shoe size less than 5 may wear trainers).

Clubhouse

The dress for the Clubhouse is smart casual, except where otherwise specified for particular events. Smart casual is defined as tailored clothing with optional sweater, jacket or tie.

NB 1 Cravat or roll neck shirt is permissible in lieu of a tie.

NB 2 Shorts are not permitted in the dining room.

NB 3 In hot weather these regulations may be relaxed at the discretion of the Secretary or, in his absence, a committee member.

NB 4 Golf shoes are only permitted in the spike bar, locker rooms and adjoining corridor.

NB 5 Social events and club matches carry their own specified dress code.

Ladies are to be guided by all of the above regulations.
