THE HAMPSHIRE HOG
The 2010 Hampshire Hog was won at North Hants Golf Club in Fleet, Hampshire today (Sunday 18 April 2010) by Laurie Canter from Saltford Golf Club in Avon. Laurie, who won the South African Amateur Championship in Match, shot a fantastic second round 65 to go with his morning 68 to win by 4 shots from Jamie Abbot (Fynn Valley GC) and Michael Saunders (Dartford GC) who both finished on 137.
The 2010 Hampshire Salver, which carries World Amateur Ranking points was won by Andrew Sullivan from Nuneaton Golf Club, who followed his rounds of 67 and 66 at Blackmoor Golf Club on Saturday with rounds of 66 and 73 at North Hants to win the Salver by one shot (272) from Laurie Canter (273).
The players and enjoyed a glorious sunny day and praised the course, which was presented so beautifully by Mark Openshaw and his team. Andrew Sullivan commented that "these were the best greens I've putted on this year".
The Hampshire Hog, which was first played in 1957, has been won in the past by such golfing greats as Michael Bonnallack, Sandy Lyle, Peter McEvoy and Justin Rose.

THE HAMPSHIRE ROSE
The 2010 Hampshire Rose was won by Charley Hull from Kettering Golf Club, with scores of 71, 2 under par, followed by 70, 3 under par in the afternoon for a total of 141. The runner-up was Hayley Davis from Ferndown Golf Club with scores of 75+71 = 146.
